Like many breeds the CKCS does have its share of potential eye issues. These are divided into two separates groups and should be screened for by a board certified ophthalmologist prior to breeding.

These problems include:

Corneal Ulcers
Cataracts
Distichiasis
Macroblepharon
Ankyloblepharon
Retinal Folds/Retinal Dysplasia
Progressive Retinal Atrophy
Excessive tear staining
Conjunctivitis
Cherry Eye
Blindness

Information about any of these problems can be found on the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of Canada website.
